Hi, my name is John Vincent Ona but you can call me Vince. My journey as a jump rope coach began unexpectedly during the global pandemic. Like many others, I found myself confined to my home, feeling disconnected and longing for a sense of purpose. It was during this time that I stumbled upon jump rope as a way to stay active and maintain my sanity.

 

As I started experimenting with basic jumps and gradually progressing to more complex tricks, I discovered the incredible physical and mental benefits of this seemingly simple activity. Jump rope not only improved my cardiovascular fitness, coordination, and agility, but it also became my source of joy and escape from the uncertainties of the world.

 

Driven by my newfound passion, I immersed myself in learning everything about jump rope techniques, training methods, and the various styles within the sport. I spent hours practicing, researching, and connecting with other jump rope enthusiasts online. Through online tutorials and offline jump rope sessions, I honed my skills and pushed my limits, constantly challenging myself to master new tricks and combinations.

 

As my proficiency in jump rope grew, friends and family started noticing my dedication and progress. They became intrigued by this unique form of exercise and began seeking my guidance to embark on their own jump rope journeys. I also tried to be part of the Philippine Team for Jump Rope and luckily, The Philippine Jump Rope Association recognized and accepted me to be part of the Team. This unexpected turn of events sparked a realization within me – I had found my calling.

 

Eager to share the transformative power of jump rope with others, I dive deeper into the coaching aspect. I pursued a certification in fitness training (CPD) to ensure I could provide comprehensive support to my clients. I also started doing company group sessions and one-on-one coaching, tailoring each program to suit individual needs and goals.

 

What started as a personal pursuit during a challenging time has blossomed into a fulfilling career. As a jump rope athlete and coach, my mission is to empower individuals to become the best version of themselves – physically, mentally, and emotionally. I guide my clients not only in mastering jump rope skills but also in cultivating resilience, self-discipline, and a growth mindset.

 

Today, as a jump rope coach, I am dedicated to inspiring and guiding others to discover their inner strength, unlock their potential, and embrace a healthier, more vibrant life. I believe that through the power of jump rope, we can not only overcome the adversities we face but also emerge stronger, more resilient, and ready to JUMP to new heights.
