About the speaker:

Dr. Rebecca B. Singson, is an obstetrician gynecologist whose practice straddles three major hospitals: the Makati Medical Center, the Asian Hospital and Medical Center in Alabang, and the St Luke's Global City Medical center.

She took her pre-med studies at the U.P. Diliman graduating from B.S. Biology magna cum laude then entered the U.P. PGH College of Medicine graduating as one of the top ten among the females of the batch ’83 graduates. She did her Obstetrics & Gynecology training at the Makati Medical Center and placed no.7 nationwide in the OB-GYN Diplomate Board Exam. After one year of practice, she did one year of post graduate training on Ob-Gyn Ultrasound and Prenatal Diagnosis in various centers in England , the Netherlands ,Croatia and Italy .

When St Lukes Global City opened in 2010, she was the first Chairman the OBGYN dept and spearheaded the opening of first hospital -based waterbirthing facility in the country as well as CARMI, the only existing hospital-based IVF center with pregnancy rates that match world standards. She is currently an internationally accredited robotic surgeon and was the first Head of the Gynecologic Robotic Surgery Program of St Lukes Global City. She is currently the Vice-Chair of the Dept. of OBGYN at the Asian Hospital & Medical Center and is a Board Member of the Asian Society of Gynecologic Robotic Society.

She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Member of the American Academy of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, a Fellow of the Phil Obstetric and Gynecologic Society and a Fellow of the Phil Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy .
